Science project

The first grade at Owen's school participated in the Kids Inquiry Conference this year. The kids were placed in groups of 2 or 3 and assigned a project where they had to gather materials, make a prediction, conduct an experiment and record data. They made presentation boards and then presented at the conference. On March 20, they had an open house at the school for an hour for parents to come and see their hard work and hear their presentations. I was so impressed by their professionalism, confidence and how well they all worked together.

Owen and his friend Jackson had to bring in sponges and predict which one would absorb the most and the least water taking into consideration how big the sponges were, how many holes they had, what shape they were and what material they were made from.

Yay for a project well done!

Fly Guy- Literary Week

As always, I waited until the last minute to throw together a costume for Owen to wear to school for "Book Character Day." He was reluctant to wear the Fly Guy costume, but he humored me anyways... I think it came out pretty cute....just wish I had a picture of him in everything once it was finished.

Audrey's 1st haircut

When I take the boys to get their hair cut, she always asks when is it her turn. I have had no desire to cut her hair...not even now, but she wanted it and we talked about how much to cut and about making it a special day for her.

She wanted it short and then she wanted it long like Frozen.

We agreed to trimming the ends and adding in some long layers.

She sat so still and watched every move the stylist made.

She brought along her special rock.

for fun, the stylist curled it for her like a princess.
(I'm going to have to learn how to do this myself. ADORABLE!

My little sweetheart!
