His last day {tear}

and his last day was not in MAY

So after school we had to do a do over...

the excitement was lost, ha! 

He grew a little and changed a lot. I'm so proud of my sweet, confident, outgoing, and fun loving Owen! He rocked kindergarten!

Teacher gift

As room mom, I thought it would be nice to send home a letter to our class parents and offer to do a collection for  a gift for our wonderful teacher, Mrs. Jones and her assistant, Mrs. Brown. I collected a little over a hundred dollars and then added a little more to it and put together a nice gift.

I went in one afternoon and took the kids in small groups out in the pod common area and had then work on a small writing/picture project... and then later went and had it bound into a book. (If I do this again in the future, I will send the pages home with the children to do with their parents.)

and used pictures I had taken while working with the class throughout the school year. 

I was able to get Mrs. Jones a $75 Suraj Spa gift card, $50 LOFT gift card, a book and 4 tickets for her family to attend a local baseball game. 

Another mom picked up a gift certificate to a local restaurant for our assistant teacher.
