Audrey's last year of Preschool *tear*

So hard to believe this is Audrey's last year of preschool! I can only imagine the water works had by this mama when my last little graduates from our beloved Roots + Wings!

Audrey was super eager to get up and get ready for school; she really is my easiest to get out the door in the mornings. It might have helped that she was super excited to wear her new dress and shoes!

She willingly posed for the mandatory first day pictures being cute, silly and serious!

and then we were off to school!

Our preschool finally moved out of the church space they were renting and into it's very own space. Its beautiful and full of light, which is great for creating art! It's a bit modern and a bit whimsy, which is perfect for our little!

I had to get her attention to say goodbye. She found her little buddy Waylen and never looked back!

First day of School 2015

Yesterday we took the boys to meet their teachers for this year. We had a rough meet the teacher experience last year, so I made sure we had a serious conversation about letting each boy have their time in their class. I went ahead and got the annual picture in front of the school sign and we headed to Owen's room. 

Owen was anxious to see if any of his friends were in his class and I knew if we went to Ben's first, he would be rushing us to leave.

Owen has several classmates from K-2 in his class including one of his good friends, so he was pretty excited! He got a seasoned teacher who has a great reputation at the school for being a really nice and strong teacher. I feel really good about this year, especially with all the stress of testing in 3rd grade... just knowing he is in good hands puts my mind at ease.

Ben got one of the sweetest 1st grade teachers and her assistant was the same assistant Owen had in kindergarten and 1st grade and we love her! Ben has a such a sweet spirit and needed to be with someone who is kind. My heart is happy!

The boys both woke up ready to go this morning! They got dressed, ate a good breakfast and let me take a few pictures. I'm getting lazy with that chalkboard. I'll be honest, it's a good idea (thanks pinterest), but doing this times 3 kids twice a year until they graduate might drive me crazy.

I promised Owen I wouldn't take any pictures of him in the school. We barely got a goodbye as he walked into his classroom. tear ;(

Ben on the other hand was all about posing for a few pictures, ha! Love him!

I let them both put together their outfits. Ben wanted to look "fancy."

And Owen wanted to look "cool."

I can't wait to see how the day went!
